Dr. Tian Hui Xiao - Principal TCM Practitioner – Chinese Medicine

Tian comes from a long line of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners and has combined his formal studies and experience with the knowledge handed down to him from four generations of practitioners.

He gained Bachelor Degree of Chinese Medicine from the Beijing Chinese Medicine University in 1989.  Since then he had been working in different departments at the University Hospital in Beijing specializing in acupuncture, herbal medicine and Chinese massage until 1993 when he was seconded to work in Malaysia.

Tian has been practicing TCM in Australia since 1995 and is the Principal Practitioner at the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialist Centre.  He utilises Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tui Na (Chinese Massage), Qi Gong and Tai Chi as well as dietary advice to tailor the treatment for the individual. He is a service provider with most health funds, is registered for WorkCover and registered in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine divisions with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria.
 

Glenys Savage– Chinese Medicine
Glenys has studied and practiced with Professor Lun Wong in Melbourne for over 30 years and she spent one and a half years in Taiwan and China undertaking additional studies and practice. She uses the techniques taught by Professor Wong in integrating the five main treatment therapies, as appropriate for each patient's needs. This includes Acupunture (together with cupping, Moxa and spooning which is also known as Guasha), Chinese massage techniques, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary therapy and physical Arts, including breathing exercise and Tai Chi.
 
Sha has been involved in education and professional issues for Chinese Medicine since the early 1980s and assisted Professor Wong to establish the Traditional Medicine of China Society Australia Inc. for practitioners in 1985. She then became its Vice President and the Principal of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Australia in 1995 until the recent. She has also been a lecture and senior practitioner at the Academy for many years.
 
Glenys has always enjoyed teaching and introduces exercises, self massage, dietary considerations into her clinical practice to assist patients to learn thechiques to help themselves. In ther treatment she applies a holistic approach, emphasizing the connections between the physical body, the mind and emotional states. She treats patients with a wide range of conditions including men, women and children. She also teaches Tai Chi.
 
Glenys is a service provider with most health funds. She is member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association, and registered for WorkCover and in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine divisions with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria.  
 
 
Rebecca Tolhurst-Chinese Medicine
Rebecca Tolhurst (BHSci – CM; BHSci – TCM (Herbs)) is a passionate Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist.  Her clinical experience and special interests include treatment of infertility, auto-immune disorders, psycho-emotional issues and alcohol/drug detoxification and rehabilitation. 
 
Rebecca has had success and experience treating clients in her Geelong West practice at bodi therapies, and has been working with Dr Tian Hui Xiao at the Beijing Chinese Medicine Centre since January 2008. 
 
She views health from a holistic perspective and believes in empowering individuals to contribute to their own health and wellbeing.  The modalities she uses are Chinese herbs, Acupuncture, Chinese style massage therapy, Cupping, Moxibustion, lifestyle and dietary advice.

Andrew Moulton-Chinese Medicine
New to the Beijing Chinese Medicine Centre, Andrew holds a four-year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is registered with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board as an Acupunturist and Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner.
 
Andrew also holds a two-year diploma in Remedial Massage and has been working as a Remedial Therapist over the last three years. Being experienced in treating musculoskeletal conditions, pain, insomnia, digestive complaints, emotional disorders and stress among many other things,
Andrew is also a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society which provides rebates to most of the major health funds. Andrew is passionate about practising and he seeks to combine his disciplines to provide a unique style of treatment.
